Christmas is closing in on us,
decorations have begun to appear,
the excitement of children hangs in the air
and all are in good cheer.

Stores have been selling Christmas toys
since winter* had barely passed
and now the time to show them off
has finally come at last.

It is time to think of buying gifts
for our relatives and friends
and begin to plan for our Christmas feast,
the work never seems to end!

I’ve bought a box of Christmas cards
with bright, festive designs.
It’s time to think of writing them
to ensure they arrive on time.

Christmas is closing in on us
with toys and friends and trees.
Take care to enjoy this holiday
and it will be a breeze!
