Agony and frustration are surrounding you and you scream, “How can the Lord allow this to happen to me?” Once things are at there breaking point and you no longer can hold your own, then and only then do you weep out “Lord, can you hear me, Lord, I can’t do this one on my own.” So many times that’s me in the midst of adversity and trying to act as though I have the control to diminish the situation, then when I finally come to the understanding that I am clueless that’s when I weep and blubber to the Lord. He is there waiting for our cries at all times not just when we are in the midst of our troubles. The calmness that comes when I finally get my act straight and cry unto the Lord is so reassuring, even if the situation that caused the agony and frustration does not diminish right away. The security of knowing the Lord is at my hand waiting and willing to walk me through at a pace I can handle is sometimes all I need to gain a grasp on my life once again.


Lord, Give me guidance, show me and teach me to call upon you at the first signs of adversity, so that I will have the peace of knowing that you will guide me through my troubles. In your precious son’s name, Amen
