rises in the morning
spreading its tender fingers of warmth
over pathway, field,
and meadow,
so shall I need you.

As the gentle evening rain falls
upon the garden flowers
giving welcome nourishment,
as silent raindrops cascade
upon the leaves,
so shall I cherish you.

As the mountain stream courses its way
over crag and boulder,
with constant soothing trickle,
with reflections dancing merrily
to a liquid tune,
so shall I love you.

As the new born baby cries
for the comfort and loving arms
of its mother,
and as your gentle presence
gives meaning and joy
to this life
so shall I adore you.
