Stop, And Stop It Now
What part of thou shalt not don’t you understand?
Jude 3, Beloved when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith; which was once delivered unto the Saints.
Jude 11, Woe unto them, for they have gone in the way of Cain and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward and perished in the gain saying of Core.
America, church of God we need to wake up. Warning is set against you this day. It is because of the disobedience to God’s law that the once delivered free country would again come under bondage. It is because the Church chooses rather to follow the ways of Egypt that the people of the land is perishing; dying daily from sin. Rather than pull people out of Hell’s fire by taking away their excuse to sin by living the example Jesus set forth for the Church the leaders causes the people to error.
The Christian that has named the name of the Lord has begun to forget that part of the law that says thou shalt not. They hold on to the promise of plenty, but forsakes what brought them to the promise; the obedience to thou shalt not. They are forgetting what they have learned spiritually to go after the natural things, the rudiments of the earth. Everybody wants but nobody wants to give. Well you say give what? Give up the sin in their lives that they think no one knows about but them. God is pulling the covers and sin will be destroyed even if it cuts down the once born again, prospering in the Gospel Ministries. Ministry is not God, obedience and righteous living is God. The Devil has built churches and is still building them. These are the mockers, sensual, having not the spirit of God, walking after their own ungodly lusts, they speak evil against things they know not, they have their own love, compassion, and mercy that makes them great.
The main purpose of the Christian is to reveal the person of the Lord Jesus Christ as the Redeemer of the world and as the conqueror of evil, and to present in symbolic form the program by which He will carry out His work.
Jude here is earnestly exhorting the Christian to contend for the faith and to do this we need to revisit the Ten Commandments. God is calling man back to obedience before He gives the benediction.
Man is losing their preservation in Jesus Christ. Man’s preserving element is obedience. Jesus came and became the perfect example of obedience in the flesh. Since man’s flesh was so weak and gratifying after the dirt from whence he came, God sent His Son, purely after the Spirit to save that living part of man, his soul and spirit. Jesus taught man; how to keep them selves, how to guard against Satan’s means of their demise, and to observe all that God has told them in His Word. Jesus also showed man how to keep safe from being injured by Satan’s attacks, from being harmed by his meanness and free from destruction and decay of our natural bodies.
In that preservation process is some dos and don’ts Christ set forth that must be followed if the Christian is to be preserved in their salvation.
1. Know that the Lord our God is one Lord, put nothing before Him; not man, woman, lover, children, job or neighbor, Mark 12:29
2. Realize that God is a Spirit and not a mere man, respect Him as such, John 4:24
3. Do not make oaths or promises to Him and do not keep them; make none at all; Matthew 5:34
4. The Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath, keep it holy, find yourself in corporate worship every week; Mark 2:27
5. Children obey your parents in the Lord; Ephesians 6:1
6. Realize if you hate your brother or sister or neighbor you are already a murderer 1 John 3:15
7. Remember everyone who looks at a woman to lust for her has committed adultery with her already in his heart, Matthew 5:28
8. Don’t seek your own good, but that of your neighbor, I Corinthians 10:24
9. Lay aside falsehoods, lies and speak truth, Ephesians 4:25
10. Don’t covet, the law says so, Romans 7:7
11. Jesus said a new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another as I have loved you, John 13:34
We should incline our hearts to keep this law because with Jesus love he carried through his work to fulfill the law of the Old Testament in Leviticus 19:18,34. We should be reminded daily of the Ten Commandments for it is for all people. There has been nothing altered about thou shalt not throughout the Word, the generations before us, or even now. They are esteemed as God’s permanent and practical means of man’s existence in the earth.
The commandments written for our adoration and obedience in Exodus 20:3-17 only lacked on things and that was the power to do them but after Jesus came he brought with him the power to love and obey. He brought back the fear factor needed as the chief sanction. The commandments were designed by God to impart clearer knowledge to man that they would be fearful to do those things knowing that they must account one day for the deeds done in the body. The sacred laws set forth the natural laws of the land and when kept there is no need for the natural law. Man has a responsibility to God and man; to reverence God first and man secondly. It is God that is self-existent, eternal, our personal deliverer, redeemer and savior. He is nigh them that call upon him. Furthermore behind His law is his love which he showed man when he sent his Son.
Jude brings us to remembrance these things we once knew and loved. He talked about Cain, the eldest son of Adam and Eve, a tiller of the ground, and he brought God an unworthy offering that caused him to be rejected because his heart was not right. He showed anger and refused to mend his ways, murdered Abel his brother, denied his guilt and when judgment was pronounced he gave no sign of repentance. Cain was cast into exile away from his parents. This is what takes us away from the presence of God, sin that one will not repent for and continuing to sin the sin.
Balaam which means perhaps, devouring was a soothsayer, one that predicts the future by magical, intuitive, or more rational means, foretelling events, a prognosticator. He foretold or predicted things from signs and symptoms. He was one that had characteristics of a prophet but was not a true prophet. He was not divinely inspired or gifted with the more than ordinary spiritual and moral insight and he could not tell future events. People followed Balaam like he was an effective or leading spokesman for the cause, doctrines, or group for Jesus Christ who would become their Savior, the Spiritual Seer.
Christians must learn to lean and depend on God for their facts and spiritual truths. The mind as we know it must die so that we can take on the mind of Christ, Philippians 2:5. Man in the earth possesses material sense but the true Christian mind processes the mind of Christ; which is Spiritual. How these supposed prophets go after material things and call it God’s promise of blessings is unreal. God’s promise of blessings is spiritual and not carnal. It has a spiritual tone in its manner of quality and respect. Its pitch is definite and vibrates the soul of men to cause them to repent. Its intonation never changes, so why has the general group of Christians changed the standards once used to bring salvation to themselves? This is a warning to those Christians that is threatening, undermining and destroying the fellowship of believers by their immoral character and conduct.
God’s judgment is certain for those that are guilty and unruly in their attitude and forgetting the mercy of God.
