Encouragement
From Pearl Harbor to September 11th to worldwide natural disasters, America has always answered the call to help. Our country has many problems. Some are economic and others are due to immorality. However, in times of distress, America's heart beats with love, compassion, comfort and determination.
America has many things: riches, amazing landscapes and landmarks, a wealth of natural resources, as well as the most valuable resource of all, the minds and hearts of Americans. Most importantly, underlying and driving the good things about our country as well as the world, is God. Without Him there is no compassion, no love, no honor, no freedom, and no free will. If we want to keep these character traits in our country, we had better put God back in our classrooms, our courthouses, our homes, and we better make certain that He never leaves our churches, and always support Israel. Otherwise we are in serious trouble.
When 9/11 happened, I was filled with such sorrow to know that there are people filled with such hatred that they would want to take out so many lives and cause such destruction. Then America's heart showed up once again. Strangers helping strangers, firefighters and policeman going through rubble that was once stood as a monument of prosperity. Other countries showing their solidarity by singing Amazing Grace. The heartbeat of America beats faintly most days, but when trouble comes, God shows up through the good in people and they answer America's call.
In times of trouble, God is there to cover us with His love. He covers us with peace and brings comfort to our weary souls.
Our nation is in a moral decline. The nation that God has blessed for so long is turning from Him. This hurts God, just as it would any of us if we were rejected. If we do not turn our country around and seek God's wisdom and love, our country's faint heartbeat will flat line. September 11th will be remembered forever in all of our hearts. America got a wakeup call that day. We cannot afford to fall back into a slumber. People must shake the immoral cobwebs from their minds. Wake up America. Never forget how you felt on September 11th, and never, ever forget God or His Son, and our Savior, Jesus Christ.
