When my faith questions thy leading
And my soul ponders treason

When burdens of loved ones
Seem too heavy a load

Against those I cherish

By earthly treasure

When death takes those I love
And my humaness fills the pain
With why's and there seems to be no because
Quiet me in thy love.

When I must leave those I cherish

For my heroes fall
For the pedestal I made
For them was too tall

When my days are night
Full of fright

When chances to be used arise
At thy strength may I not surmize
