Here we are panting for Your word, overwhelmed by Your glory.
From our darkened ways we have come summoned by Your mercy.
With our hearts in our hands we have come embraced by Your love.

Bruised, battered, robbed, violated we have been, devoured by our iniquities.
But we have come to the fountain of light, that has been from of old,
Of the ancient, the unbroken dominion, of the way “Let there be…and there was…”

To the hill of salvation we have come, of Your people,
A people honoured and prepared by the Blood of the Lamb
With thanks and offerings of righteousness to exalt the Holy One,
With the glorious shouts of praise to our Redeemer, our God forever.

Hear us! By loving kindness hear us,
By eternal mercies Elohim hear us, we
The wonderful works of Your hands.

Tears, agony, and oppression we inherited from the world,
Bloated we became, drunk in our sins, the wine of the world,
But Thou o Lord whose mercy like a sponge,
Washed us, cleansed us, purified us, sanctified…

Behold these instruments before You! set apart for Your glory,
That Thou might fulfil Your purpose and desire
Through the works of Your hands. Be exalted oh Lord of mercy.
