“I have really tried so hard to believe. I’ve prayed more times than I can count. Nothing has happened. What am I doing wrong? I just don’t understand why my prayers aren’t being answered?”

Have you ever asked questions like these? Have you ever wondered if God really knows how you feel? If He’s ever been in your shoes? If He’s ever experienced the same problems that you are facing and the same trials you are struggling to overcome?

Have you ever felt so lonely? It’s as if there is no one there to encourage you along your journey? Have you ever wondered if God was a million miles away? Has it ever been so dark in your life, that it seemed like God found your power switch and turned off all the lights in your world?

Well… I’m not afraid or ashamed to admit that I have… I have asked these questions, many, many times in my life. In fact…I think everyone has at one time or another. If you have ever felt this way, or are experiencing something similar like this right now…does it mean that you are not a person of faith? The answer is no… Of course not!

Know this my fellow sojourners: God loves and adores you very much! He will go to the most out-of-the-way places in your life; into the nooks, corners, crevices, way down deep inside where you feel the deepest pains and hurts within you. He will come to you when your back is up against the wall. He will come to you when you feel like the roof is caving in on your life. When it seems that everyone has let you down and you don’t know where to turn? Whom to go to? Or whom to trust? That’s where you will find God. Right there. Waiting for you to come to Him. For you see… He will never fail you.

I don’t know where each of you are, in your individual lives and what all your needs are…but God does. He knows about every single struggle that you are facing and He wants to help you become victorious over it!

The Bible teaches us that God is everywhere your hurt is. He is right there with you. Right at the point of your need. The scripture says: “For we have not an High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities: but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”– (Hebrews iv. 15, 16)

If its physical or emotional pain that you are experiencing? He is there. If it’s discord amongst the people in your life? He is there. If your finances have decided to go on vacation and not ask you to come along on the trip? He will say. No problem, I’m all that you will ever need. Wherever your hurt is. He is there.

If you feel like that you don’t have enough strength to fight the needs or battles in your life? If it seems that you are at the end of your rope? Do yourself a favor… Let God help. Let Him. He wants to help you my friend. Put all your pain in His hands and expect that He will bring you an answer. Expecting Him to answer you is very important. For you see, the scripture says: “Without faith, it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to God must believe that He is God, and a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” - (Hebrews 11:6) If you turn your need over to God, you must expect Him to answer, or you haven’t really turned your problems and needs over to Him.

May I make a suggestion to you? It could really help… Write down all the things you need from God. When you write down your burdens; you are actually releasing them to God. You will find that the heavy load you have been carrying will be lifted. Writing your burdens down, commits you to action. You are actually doing something to help you release your faith. For the scripture also says: “And the Lord answered me and said: "Write the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passesmay be able to read it easily and quickly as he hastens by. For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end fulfillment; it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait earnestly for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day” - (Habakkuk 2:2,3 - Amplified version) Writing your goals and wishes down is an act of faith. Waiting on God to do the work is a spiritual growth process. Both spiritual and personal goals strengthen your walk with the Lord.

Whether it be aspirations for your children, marriage, finances, or health - make a list, be obedient to God and watch Him work! There is nothing that He can’t do!

Don’t let another day go by my friend, without taking the time to write down the needs you have and release them to God. I believe God can turn everything around in your life. He REALLY can!
