“Love that Lasts”

As you begin your new journey of love,
remember your union includes God above.
He has joined your hands forever-to-be,
this Holy marriage really made up of three.

God will cultivate your love for each other,
where you’ll really learn to understand one another.
For this beautiful love actually starts now,
and its desire for growth is expressed in a vow.

Wonderful memories are soon to be made,
joyous moments that never will fade.
Life’s trying times will also arise,
but pray together to God, and He will advise.

Honor and strength, trials will build,
if the two of you to God always yield.
You will have the love that never ends,
because you let God mold you into genuine friends.

So, if in tough times you two can still smile,
those days will seem to last but a short-while.
Your love, though, will last forevermore,
because your spouse and God you truly adore.
