He was loud, obnoxoius, entertaining, big and green. Jimmy Buffet was a very large Amazon parrot.
He had the run of the house and everyone that entered knew it. When one would knock on the door Jimmy would say, "God bless, come in".
We held bible fellowships at the house and Jimmy Buffet attended most of them. Not only did it appear that he was soaking up the Word of God but he could also give his veiw on some items. We as people get "born again" so you might say Jimmy got "hatched again". The kids loved him and carried on conversations with Jimmy that only they could understand.
A sad day dawned when some friends came to the house and brought with them an extremely colorful vocabulary. To our dismay, Jimmy Buffet listened well and from that day on he forgot any bible he knew and his vocabulary also became colorful.
One night as we were holding a biblical research class at the house,Jimmy Buffet let loose with a string of words that would curl your toes. WELL! Needless to say, Mr. Buffet was asked to move.
Now it's real hard to get rid of a large green parrot with a dirty mouth but finally he wound up, (of all places), at a preacher house. HA! I sure hoped that preacher helped Jimmy mend his ways.
Good by Jimmy Buffet, we sure miss you. You were a great entertainer.
