Marriage

We had wild weather yesterday,
it took the power out;
as if God wanted to remind us
of what true power is all about.

The rain came down in sheets and torrents
the lightning struck all around;
Yet through it all, I had such peace,
I knew where my refuge could be found!

Reminded me so of how our love
is such a refuge as this;
that no matter how many storms do rage;
together we have such bliss!

We don't depend on ourselves to get by,
we look for help from above;
and in the looking receive much more,
for He's the One who gave us our love!

Every day I begin with thanks,
every night I thank Him too,
for having had another day
to tell how very much I LOVE YOU!!
