There are things we should know which our duties in the church and to God are. We should look at ourselves as people who have to give unto God and not always in the business of asking all the time-which is legitimate any way!

There is a common duty we all owe to the church/God and this duty is to protect the church. ‘Protect’ means to cover, shield from injury or damage, guard, care for, or look over.

WHY SHOULD WE PROTECT THE CHURCH?

• Because God is in the business of protecting church.
• Because the gates of hell is against the church.
• Bacuase the church is fragile and delicate.
• Because not everybody loves our church.
• Because everybody is protecting their own church.
• Because if anything happens to the local church, you will not escape God’s JUDGMENT.
• Bacuase the church is the hope of some people.


WHAT ARE THE THINGS WE NEED TO PROTECT IN THE CHURCH?

• We need to protect our unity (oneness)
• We need to protect our vision and mandate.
• We need to protect our good name.
• We need to protect the order in the church.
• We need to protect our atmosphere.
• We need to protect our leaders.
• We need to protect one another.


HOW DO WE PROTECT OUR CHURCH?

• Stay connected to the church.
• Pray without ceasing for the church.
• By being a good ambassador and setting a good example.
• By not allowing other people to do things that are against the health of the church.
• By supporting the church financially.
• By attending all church services.
• By helping to recruit more workers.
