PROPHETIC WORD
Chains of Men
When will My people stop listening to the Pharisees in their midst who set their own pet standards for holiness to put a stumblingblock before My dear redeemed children? Promoters of compulsory fasting, minimum giving standards, early rising, and other so-called “Christian disciplines” are passing laws of their own which are NOT commanded by the early apostles to the church. Prayer is taught in the epistles but fasting is not bound upon believers by the apostles as a duty of discipleship. Giving out of a liberal heart is urged, but Paul doesn’t command Christians to give a set amount, or to give when they’re unable to. He exhorts My people to be sober and watch and pray and to be vigilant in order to guard against satan. But Paul does not say everyone has to rise and pray in the wee hours of the morning regardless of the condition of their health or their working schedule. Saints are commanded to pray for one another and to bear one another’s burdens. But nowhere does Paul command believers to sign up to do perpetual duty on a church “prayer chain” phone line. Oh, the endless extras self-righteous blind leaders of the blind put up before My people to raise the athletic bar to make the Race of Faith much more burdensome to run! Even babes in Christ are treated like pledges in a college fraternity where the elder members initiate them with hard work and unpleasant experiences. I gave NO one the authority to make My light burden heavier to bear!
“Chain” is a good name for compulsory duties not expressly commanded in My Word. What about so-called Christian Chain letters, sent out to supposedly bless the receiver, who is then compelled to send them back out to so many of their friends and relatives? This act supposedly results in a greater outpouring of My favor, and “bad luck” for failure to comply with its instructions. If misfortune came to someone who deleted a chain letter, who do you think caused it? Take authority over such sorcery. Chain letters, like “positive confession” to draw money blessing, is a form of superstition, and dangerously close to occultism in nature. The flowers and “blessing prayers” which decorate the chain letter do not detract from its demonic deception. In my sight, sending chain mail falls into the category of being a charm to ensure blessing or good luck. Those of you who love Me in the fellowship of My Son ALREADY have My blessing, and you don’t have to perform bizarre rituals to further earn it.
