Faith

As I lay in my bed looking towards Heaven where your rest.
I lean on my faith, the father knows best.

Though my heart is broken and throbbing with pain.
My mind is in a whirlwind as if I am going insane.

My faith give me unexplainable peace as I ask why?
You had suffered enough, and to be with God you had to die.

Die to that flesh that had robbed you over and over again.
But you kept the faith saying these words:" You were born to win".

You held on my sister through the suffering and the pain.
Held on for your children and family, through the storms and the rain.

So I am letting you go my sister, the hardest thing I ever had to do.
I never thought in my lifetime, I'd be around to bury you.

A smile overcomes me when I think of you little sis.
I look up toward heaven and blow you a kiss.

I laugh when I think about the many things you used to do.
How you kept the house in a uproar, with all of us chasing you.

As I close my eyes I see my sister a beautiful little girl.
Running and jumping on the bed without a care in the world.

I celebrate your life and rejoice in your homegoing.
Release my ties to your heart, giving you to the Lord who is all knowing.
