He loved me with a Cross, and He’ll hide me behind the Cross, so that when I come to the Cross, I don’t have to be afraid.
For it was at the Cross, where I found forgiveness, and beneath the Cross of Jesus, where my sins were washed away.
It was by the way of the Cross that I met my Savior, who taught me to run to the Cross, and throw myself at the foot of the Cross, because there is room at the Cross for me.
And on my knees is where I still cling to the old rugged cross, to receive the power to carry my Cross for Him.
So, Jesus keep me near the Cross, for this stranger in a strange land – this pilgrim only passing through – knows this truth so well...that the way of the Cross leads home.
