I awoke with a start in the dim,
was the day beginning so soon?
Up I got, for there was much
to accomplish before noon.

There are many errands to run,
but I wanted to have the time,
to sit and thank God first of all,
for sending you and making you mine!

I sit and think of all the gifts
that God has showered on me,
but by far the best one of all,
is the day He rescued me.

Right after that there shines another,
that's ever so shiny and new,
and that is the gift of love
He wrapped and gave me when He gave me you!

Each day now I unwrap it again,
knowing this gift is fresh and new,
and holding it close my heart just sings
out how very much I LOVE YOU!!!

Every morning the melody's different,
old notes of a brand new song,
but they all play out the wonder and joy
that I feel because it's to you that I belong!

Every dawn I'm filled again
with the wonder of our love renewed,
and I will spend my day in joy
telling you of all the ways I LOVE YOU!!!
