1. I AM(EGO EIMI)

Jesus answered,” before Abraham was born, I am!” John 8:58
God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM…” Exodus 3:13-14
“I AM the resurrection and the life…” John 11:25a
“I AM the bread of life” John 6:35
“I AM the way the truth and the life.” John 14:6
“I AM the light of the world.” John 8:12
“I AM the true vine and my Father is the gardener.” John 15:1

Jesus, whose name means “Yahweh is Salvation,” is the great I AM—the one who is always present with us whether or not we recognize him.
Jesus is God. Matthew 16:15-16; Mark 14:61-62


2. LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH
(ARYEH LAMMATTHEH YEHUDAH, LEON EK TOU PHYLES IOUDA)

“Do not weep! See, the lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.” Revelation 5:5

When you pray to Jesus as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, you are praying to the One with the power to banish all fear, to the One who watches over you with fierce protecting love. You are also praying to the One who is Judge of the living and the dead. Jesus is in charge of history.

Jesus, you are the lion of the Tribe of Judah. Thank you for your fierce love and your strong protecting power. Come with your might and rule over us. Defeat your enemies and ours, extending your reign throughout the universe.

The Lord is a Lion who does battle for his people. Isaiah 31:4-5



3. KING OF KINGS(BASILEUS BASILEON)

On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. Revelations 19:16

The world has never seen a king like Christ, a ruler mightier than any earthly
sovereign and more powerful than the unseen powers of the universe.
When you pray to Jesus, the King of kings, call to mind the mastery not only over human beings but over nature, disease, and death itself.

Lord Jesus, my all-powerful King, I praise you for your humility. Help me to seek first your kingdom, forsaking my desire to build my own small kingdom. Infuse me with the values of your kingdom. Help me (us) to love our enemies, do good to those who hate us, serve the poor, and spread the good news of the kingdom everywhere I go. Amen.

A kingdom is the Governing influence of a King over his territory, impacting it with his personal will, purpose and intent, producing values, morals and a lifestyle that reflect the King’s desires and nature for his citizens.
Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the majesty, and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all (1 Chronicles 29:11).



4. BRIDEGROOM, HUSBAND(NYMPHIOS, ANER)

Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!
Revelation 19:9

Lord Jesus, you left your Father’s house to come to earth and claim me as your own. Thank you for showing me what love is by the way you lived your life. Preserve me (us) from both worldliness and weariness as I (we) await your return. I (we) pray that on that great and terrible day, I(we), along with all your people, will be ready, eagerly awaiting your return as our Saviour and our Bridegroom. Amen.

“For God is a consuming fire”! Hebrews 12:29
Consuming fire is the passion of God totally engaged and active, revealing unstoppable determination.

“Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” Revelation 21:9

5. ALPHA AND OMEGA(ALPHA KAI OMEGA)

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the end.”
Revelation 22:13

When you pray to Christ as the Alpha and the Omega, you are praying to the One who is, who was and who is to come. He is our all-sufficient Lord, who will not fail to complete the good work he has begun in us.

Jesus is the A-Z but when Jesus calls himself the Alpha and the Omega, he is implying not just these two letters but all the letters in between. And letters, of course, are the basic building blocks for words. Jesus is the Circumference of all things. Christ is the source of all beauty.

“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.” Hebrews 12:2 a
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8

Lord Jesus, you are the Alpha and the Omega, Beginning and the End, First and Last, A-Z. You are the source of all life and the fulfillment of all desire. You made the world from nothing and then remade it through your love. Help me to be rooted in you that I never lose heart. May every beginning and every ending in my life be something that glorifies you. May my story reflect your story so that your Name can be lifted higher to the Glory of God the Father.






6. THE NAME ABOVE EVERY NAME—JESUS(YESHUA/IESOUS SOTER)

“She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:20-21

“Jesus” was a common name in first-century Palestine. This shows us the beauty and the power of God Almighty. Jesus has been raised up and every man, woman, and child are under the authority and rule of Jesus Christ. There is power in the name of Jesus. There is love in the name of Jesus. But the name “Jesus” is not some kind of magical incantation. The name of “Jesus’ is used to bring out Heavenly Father’s Purpose.

Yeshua, my Saviour. You are God forever. Thank you for saving me from all my sins. You reached down from on high to rescue me. Help me to live with continual awareness of my need for your saving grace, now and always.

“Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11


7. BRIGHT MORNING STAR(ASTER LAMPROS PRINOS)

“I am the root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”
Revelation 22:16

When you call on Jesus as the Bright Morning Star, you are calling on the One from whom all darkness flees. Because of Jesus, a new day, bright with promise has dawned on the entire world. He is the one who destroys our darkness by the light of His presence. When Jesus called himself the bright Morning Star, he was saying that He is our reference point—the sign that a new day is dawning the world. He will return to earth. Jesus is our Compass.

Lord Jesus, you are the brightest of all stars. With your light, chase away the world’s darkness and the shadows that linger in my life. Help me to await your coming with hope and confidence and to long eagerly for the new day that will never end, the day in which your Kingdom will be finally and fully established.

He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing it and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this (Isaiah 9:6-7).




8. LORD(KYRIOS)

“…Jesus Christ is Lord…” Philippians 2:11

The Greek word (KU-ree-os) is used in the New Testament to refer to an owner, emperor, king, father, husband, or master. In Hebrew it reveals three names and titles of God: Yahweh, Adonai, and Elohim. In the New Testament when they called the Lord Kyrios they were showing respect to him as a teacher or rabbi. But after hi death and resurrection, the title “Lord” began to be widely used by believers.
“Not everyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord,” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only those who do the will of my Father who is in heaven.”
Matthew 7:21
Lord Jesus, you emptied yourself so that I (we) could be filled. You made yourself nothing so that I (we) could be something. You descended to the lowest place so that I (we) could be raised to the highest. Come and take all of me, leaving no part of me (us) beyond your care, bereft (deprived) of your grace, or remote from your purifying power. Spread the story of your mercy through the simple witness of my obedience, my Lord and my God. Amen.
