I looked at the ring, oh so small,
and the flowers on it smaller still
and marveled that the pattern I made
was now real, not just the paper squares I filled.

I had drawn it out, each step of the way
and made sure it was sized just right,
and wove the two ends together with thread
my flight of fancy had come to light!

It made me think of the two of us,
brought together by God's own plan
and here, years later, you still fill me with joy
He made us one in Him, not just woman and man

The pattern was made with infinite care,
God put his peace and joy into every bead,
and wove the pattern, closed it into a circle
God poured out blessings and filled every need

We start each day with the circle complete,
God's plan for us is each day fresh and new,
and all day long I weave in three little words,
they say it all - oh, how I LOVE YOU!!
