Encouragement

---

The summer now draws to its close,
We bid farewell to long, hot days,
And look towards the autumn time,
With morning dew and evening haze.

The landscape now a quieter place,
Those happy times where we would spend,
Embracing all of Nature’s gifts,
Fond memories ours at summers end.

The golden hues of shrubs and trees,
Now herald in the autumn scene,
The countryside will soon be still,
Where busy creatures once had been.

And in the towns and city streets,
Warm coated figures now appear,
The crisp, chill air and morning frost,
Forewarns that winter days draw near.

Then in the homes throughout the land,
Safe from the biting winds that blow,
The people meet with smiles and love,
And gather round the fire’s warm glow.

No place here for solemn tales,
With friends and family at our side,
There’s magic as the seasons change,
For it brings the joys of Christmastide.
