Johnny’s Lesson

I’ve come to tell a story
About a little boy
The boy his name is Johnny
Had very little joy

Some people who knew Johnny
Said he was very bad
They did not look inside him
To see that he was sad

He fought with those around him
He tried to show his pain
People would just avoid him
Their love he could not gain

People did not take the time
To find out what was wrong
So little Johnny suffered
He suffered all alone

Johnny’s life was not so good
It went from bad to worse
No one took the time to say
Come out from that old curse

When Johnny then got older
One night he met a man
The man saw right though Johnny
Lent him a helping hand

Told Johnny about Jesus
A gift from God above
Told Johnny about heaven
And God’s amazing love

Then Johnny started crying
For now the truth he knew
And from that moment onward
In Jesus Johnny grew

The moral of my story
I hope you see quit clear
Hurting people are the ones
That need more love my dear
