You Are There

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18)

I face so many days with a broken-heart, feeling that my spirit is lost. I face days I'm weary and burdened. I deal with depression, high-expectations upon myself, stress, and all the struggles of everyday living. Now that I have Christ in my life, I find renewed strength.

I still face the same struggles, but don't feel so alone. Talking to friends and spilling my heart sometimes helps, what are friends for, right? But time alone spilling out my heart to Jesus is so immensely healing to my heart. I know you are there, Lord.

Having faith in you
to heal my heart
Is all I ever need

To know for sure
you're there for me
When I cry out to you

My spirit gone
my broken heart
Cry out to you in pain

You save me from
the troubles faced
When I live in your name

Feeling the love I need
from within me
helps me face each day

When I listen
so carefully
The Spirit speaks to me

When I truly believe
you're all I need
I feel so safe and sound

Please save me
because I believe
That you're my one and only

You are there, Lord
In troubled times
When my heart cries out to you
I feel you,
You are there


Dear Lord, I am thankful that I invited you into my life. Thank you for being there during my troubled times. I need your strength and wisdom to carry me through the tough times. Please help me find you through the storms.
