I’m sliding down,
Away from the glimpse of light.
Without a care for what comes next,
Let alone having the will to fight.

I see traces,
Of blood and of skin.
Of whips and lashes,
I see suffering.

I feel my tears,
Which conjure an oasis.
It seems real with hope,
Yet dissolves, just like this.

I try to reach,
To grab something somehow.
Slide further I no longer wanted,
And the time is right now.

I see traces,
Of blood and of skin.
Of whips and lashes,
I see Jesus, suffering.

I’m sliding down,
But this time there’s light.
Hope soon converged inside me,
While darkness subside.

Time and again,
I refused to be reunited.
His love is so deep,
Yet I rejected.

But now I rediscover,
the love He never lost.
My name He remembered,
For He looked for me, without a cost.
