My dear Dad your love is great
Not a word need be spoken
To share the love we have

Even when your body is tired and frail
I look into your eyes and see your strength
Your strength holds me up when I am weak

You have courage to face each day
No matter what may lay ahead of you
A courage that is easy for others to see

There is a bond that draws us close
When we are apart the bond still holds
We know each others thoughts

We communicate without a word
For that inner love is so strong
That words never need to be said

One day you will not be here with me
It will be time for another journey
Time for you to go to another home

I will miss you, Dad, more then words can say
I will remember the strength I saw in your eyes
And draw on what you have taught me

As long as I hold on to our memories
The great things we have shared
You will always be here with me

One day, we will see each other again
In a home where there is no pain and sorrow
A home of peace and joy with our Father above
