Dear Lord, I come to you with an open heart, as I am slowly noticing the changes You are making in my life. Everything seems to be taking a long time but what is time to You? I know that Your ways are not my ways, Your time is not my time. Ten years of my life is probably ten seconds to You. My waiting for what seems like “forever” for this big ‘thing’ to happen, for the next day to come, for a special person to show up- it’s probably all just a blink of Your eye. So You are trying my patience and my faith. I am trying to be strong. I know Your light is there somewhere and the darkness I feel is only momentary in the grand scheme of things. Please help me remember this. I want to do with my life whatever it is You have planned. I feel so empty sometimes because what I am doing now is not what You want me to do but it is all I can do until You show me the way out. Please speak to me. Nudge me when I am hesitant. Whisper to me words of encouragement. Hold me when I am lonely. Protect me when I am afraid. I only have You. And I can only do things through You Who strengthens me.
