It was such fun last night to teach
a way of speaking without sound,
to use our hands instead of a voice,
a new discovery quite profound

To hold your hands to say the words,
using motion as our speech,
another way to give our praise,
another dimension that we can reach.

It made me think of all the ways,
I express my feelings each day,
it's not only words that communicate,
everything that I want to say,

I look at you and my eyes see love,
my heart fills with love for you in return,
and when I feel the touch of your hand,
tender care is what I learn.

I feel your arms wrapped around me,
and know I am safe and sound,
I would have this even if I could not hear,
your love would be all around.

I thank God every morning for our love,
for all the ways I know it to be true,
and find a thousand wordless ways
to show and tell how much I LOVE YOU!!
