Pounding of nails,
blood spills
a tear is shed.
Loud cries,
ring throughout our souls.
Our savior,
innocent and pure.
Sacrificed,
to give us eternal life.
He loves us so,
yet few seem to know.
When you’re face to face
with time
will you choose to follow,
announcing to all
Jesus Christ saved your soul
or simply stand silent
fading,
becoming another lost soul
left to smother,
amongst some dark hole.
The choice is simple,
repent,
purifying your soul.
Cleans from within
leaving your burdens
at the cross,
walking a new life
no longer blinded
but filled with everlasting faith.
