Encouragement
I think we worry about some of the silliest stuff sometimes. And really, we worry about EVERYTHING!! Nearly everyone I talk to worries about something. Its human nature I get it, but when we take on a new life in Christ, we shouldn’t worry anymore right? Well technically the answer would be yes, but we still do. Its definitely easier said than done that’s for sure.
I’ll be honest when I say that as much as I try not to worry I still do. Now there have been days when I did fully trust the Lord and let me tell ya, those days were bliss. But why I cant remain consistent on this one eludes me. But I try really hard, I do.
I heard a great analogy once: A man went into a watch repair shop and he asked the man working, “Sir can you fix my watch.” the man said, “sure, leave it here and I will fix it.” The man answered, “ok” and sat it down, he began looking around the store and then walked over, picked up his watch and left the store. Pretty silly isn’t it?
Well isn’t that just like us? We take are troubles to the Lord and we say “Lord can you fix this problem for me?” We plead and beg him to fix it. The Lord answers “yes, leave it with me and I will fix it.” So we lay it at his feet during prayer but when were done we pick it back up. How can God help us, if we don’t fully trust him? If we keep picking are problems back up?
Don’t you know If you need money to pay bills that God has the money to take care of it? He is the gate keeper of wealth. Don’t you know that if your struggling with unsaved loved ones, that he wants them saved more than you do? Don’t you know that everything in your life is important to God and he doesn’t want you to worry about anything? He wants us to live with peace and joy in our hearts. But the only way we can do that is if we learn to trust him.
We need to learn to turn it over to God, quit worrying about it, quit trying to figure it out. We cant allow the problem to dominate our thought life. Because if we are worrying we are not trusting. If you have done everything you know to do, about a situation and it still isn’t working out, what have you got to lose?
If you cant see a way out that means your in Gods territory, turn it over to him and give him full control of that situation. Only he has the answers. Give your mind a break, life is too short. Know that he has taken care of you in the past and he will continue to take care of you in the future.
He wants you to live as a victor not a victim. Whatever your facing God is bigger than your problem, whether it is financial, mental, physical or emotional. Whatever it is, he is big enough to handle it. I think if we were to really see our problems through Gods eyes we would see how small they really are. Nothing is too big for him.
“It doesn’t matter if you don’t have the answers, as long as you know the person who does.”
May You Be Blessed and Encouraged and remember that God loves you and he has not forgotten you!
To God be the glory
