When it hurts too much to cry,
And you feel you can’t go on;
When your dreams in ashes lie,
And it seems all hope is gone;
When the valley’s path is drear,
Casting shadows dark with death;
When your heart is filled with fear,
And it feels there’s nothing left;

Remember you’re not alone,
Jesus will be by your side;
Through all His love will be shown,
As you let Him be your guide.
He promised to carry you,
When you don’t have strength to stand;
His mercy will see you through;
The touch of His loving hand.

When there’s no words left to pray,
Jesus intercedes for you;
When there’s no light left in day,
His promises are still true;
When all you feel is sorrow,
His goodness still reigns above;
When you can’t see tomorrow,
Keep trusting His faithful love.
