Although we did not give you life,
We love you just the same.
We are so proud that God placed you in our lives,
For without you our family would not be complete.
Our hearts are filled with joy to know that our daughter has found the perfect mate.
It has been obvious since your first date.
The first time we saw you together, we knew that our daughter had found her soul mate.
When we look at you we see,
A person filled with love and integrity.
A man who loves both God and family.
A man full of honor, kindness and generosity.
A man with both joy and peace.
A successful man in body, mind and soul,
because the love of God abides in your heart.
We are so proud of you and for that which you stand.
If it were our choice, we choose you again.
We thank the Lord for answering our daily prayers, in sending us the perfect son.
Our lovely daughter's life long companion.
From this blessed union, God has sent us a precious angel.
This little life you will help to mold.
We know that our hope in you does safely trust.
Our prayers are now changing, we have now begun to ask God, that when the time comes, He will send us a man, just like you for our granddaughter too!

Your entry in the Poetry challenge had to be removed as it was only 136 words long. It needs to be at least 150. You can add a passage of Scripture or a creative paragraph at the top if you want, and then re-submit it. Just make sure it makes it to 150 words.
