Encouragement
God told the Israelites that “out of the territory of all your tribes the Lord will chose the one place where the people are to come into his presence and worship him”. Here they are to offer their sacrifices, their tithes and offerings and other promises they made unto the Lord. So Shiloh is popularly known as a very important meeting place where all the Israelites gather yearly for the festival of the Lord. Because God has chosen that His presence will dwell with his people in this place, many great things happen.
In Judges 21:19-23 The Benjamites went to Shiloh to take up wives of the daughters of Shiloh who came out and danced at the festivals. Their needs were satisfied.
In Joshua, the whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled together and set up the tabernacle of the congregation there and the land was subdued before them.
In 1 Sam. 1:9-11, Hannah went to Shiloh in one of the years to pour out her soul to the Lord and the Lord heard her and granted her request.
Having known all these where is your own Shiloh. To be at Shiloh means to be in the presence of God. In the presence of God there is fullness of joy. To experience a joy that knows no bound, you must always be in the presence of God. When you are faced with any need, just as Hannah and the Benjamites did, go to the presence of God and pour out your soul and the Lord will grant your request.
Remember, your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and Holy Spirit is not different from God the Father and God the Son. So wherever the Spirit is, God is fully present there. So,always make out time to go into yourself, in the quietness of your heart and commune with your God and you will experience this immense joy which only God can give. The joy which he said “hitherto you have asked nothing in my name, ask and you will receive and your joy will be full” As you go to Shiloh and ask, you will receive and be filled with the fullness of joy.
