Encouragement
So I've just kinda taken a few days to sit back and watch.
Watch what?
Watch people.
And it amazes me how much people throw around the terms Heaven and Hell. Yes I do believe that they are real places, but they way people use them today, they've become a figment of our imaginations, or just a curse word. Seems like every single day, someone says, "Ohh I can't believe you did that, you're going to hell now!", or, "If you were only nice like me, you would go to heaven" I even heard someone say they knew they were already going to hell and there wasn't anything anybody could do to stop it. It hurt me to hear that.
Heaven is much more than just paradise, California beaches, or even Hawaii. It is the living presence of God, and our savior Jesus Christ. It is a place of eternal love and happiness, there are no tears in heaven.
And likewise, Hell is so much more sitting through a 3 hour conference, it's not an extra 100 problems in homework, and no matter how bad someones life gets, they are not going through a "living hell", and finally it is not just a big party with all your favorite TV and radio personalities. Hell is a place of constant sulfuring, gnashing of teeth, never ending excruciating pain, worse than anyone has ever experienced on Earth, horrible torture, and most of all, the absence of God.
And no matter what you see on TV, read in a magazine, hear on the radio, or any other information you may encounter, you can't go to Heaven by just doing good works.
It just doesn't work that way.
But, there is still hope, and you can't give up thinking you're "unforgivable"
There was a man, no ordinary man, a man who lived a sinless life, a man of divinity, a man that came to the earth for the unimaginable purpose of bearing the entire worlds sin for eternity, suffering the most intense pain ever known to man kind, having his body ripped to shreds, and showing God's love to all of us while he hung on the Cross. For me. And for you. Here's the kicker, three days later, he returned from death's grip, triumphing over ALL sin, there is no unforgivable sin, because God loves us SO much, he knew we were sinners, but he wanted us to be in heaven with him, and only through his son Jesus Christ can we get there.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life." -John 3:16
If you think you've sinned far worse than God can ever forgive, your wrong, all you have to do is ask. I believe completely the God can turn your life in a positive direction, once again, there is no unforgivable sin.
In John 14:6, Jesus says: "I am The Way, the Truth, and the Life, not one comes to the father but through me." HE lived a perfect, blameless life. HE took the burden of the world on his shoulders, HE died, so YOU can live and have eternal life in Heaven with HIM.
Jesus is waiting for you, won't you give him a chance?
Thank You,
James Mickley
