Faith
1 Corinthians 3:11 ¶For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Galatians 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
Acts 4:10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
According to a survey by the Chicago-based Spectrem Group, using U.S. census data, online and mail surveys, along with telephone interviews found out that the wealthy indeed are getting richer. Simply put, those who had assets of more than $500,000 not including their primary residence rose to 9 % or 15.3 million in 2006 from the year before.
It is no surprise that many in America are finding their dreams come true. While this prosperity has been on the rise, many also have found that the stock market is doing quite well with their own portfolio. As this investment continues for some, Gold and precious metals have been on the rise in the securing aspects of many.
Moreover, as Americans have been living, working, and securing their security, life on the whole as been a bitter struggle for many. The recent problems at Virginia Tech have been all over the news because of the loss of the lives of many students there. The shooter, Cho Seung-Hui, a South Korean is now called a ‘Mass Murderer’ after his cold blooded murder of so many classmates. It is true in America that, for the most part, we live a sheltered life. Only in America can we war and invade two countries like Iraq and Afghanistan and still have people living a normal life with no major war intrusions here at home. Still further, America has never been invaded, disturbed, or bombed like most nations abroad. This peaceful existence has been brought to a halt by the murder of so many college kids.
All over the news, the main story line has been this episode in Virginia. Those beating the bushes for the hidden line to the shooters life have all come up with the same horrific details. A loner, quiet, who at times, seemed to be filled with resentment and hatred, walked the halls of this school with no friends or outlet for his inner demons. This young man has been described in many ways, with all the officials determined to get to the bottom of it all.
In the rich, affluent America that most of the college kids at Virginia tech knew, this part of America was an unknown. Yet, if one were to look closer at this nation, apart from the affluence that hems in most rich kids, you would see another picture. The sad fact is the inner cities are filled with street gangs who take life just as quickly as Cho Seung-Hui did. The streets are filled with prostitutes, drugs, alcoholics, and policemen. All are fully aware of the America street life in the inner cities.
In the contrast of the rich who are getting richer and the poor or middle class who barely survive or do not survive at all, one can get a good picture of it all by the events this week. Americans are not used to this kind of tragedy. Even though, we have Columbine and others in recent memory, somehow, our lifestyles help us to forget what is happening in this nation. The restaurants, gas stations, stores filled with goods along with the relative safety of our nation provides a soothing comfort to all the stresses in life. Yet, while we are being coaxed by our material things which say to us “it is alright, see you are doing quite well”. Howbeit, in actuality, an opposite truth comes to light saying to us, “our nation is facing a crisis”.
The measure of success by many today is money, wealth, education, jobs, and ability to retire in comfort. Yet, as we gather unto ourselves all these materialistic comforts, the true nature of what America is has been lost.
This is a nation created by those who loved God and knew him. Some were not as heated in their beliefs as the Puritans, yet those who framed the Constitution, still used the Ten Commandments to do so. This was a nation, of people, that knew God, and used his son’s name, Jesus Christ as well. Ours has been a storied past with many challenges from the first revolution to the civil war, and then on to World war I and II. The sad part of the whole situation this week in Virginia is the deaths of so many people. But the most ironic twist about this whole situation is in fact of what we have lost. That is our true faith and in whom we believe. For this was a nation founded, blessed, and raised up by Lord God of the Christians. This was not a nation of Moslems, Buddhists, or Hindus. This was a nation of people who were considered Christian believers, in the Christian God. Now, while all people, religions and races are welcome here, we have in fact lost the truth of America.
At the Memorial services concerning the Virginia Tech Students, in which, our President George Bush attended, there was not one word about Jesus Christ mentioned. According to a Story by Worldnetdaily, one reader told them “Not one Evangelical Christian Pastor or Preacher, No Invocation of the name of Jesus Christ”. (in prayer was mention) WND goes on to cite the speakers in order:
And another WND reader cited the speakers, in order:
"1st Speaker: A Muslim cleric invoking the name of Allah and quoting the Quran."
"2nd Speaker: A Buddhist Community Leader preaching that mankind is basically 'good.'"
"3rd Speaker: A Female speaker from the Jewish Community quoting Ecclesiastes: 'There is a time for everything.'"
"4th Speaker: A Liberal Lutheran Minister talking about 'healing,' etc. and how everyone needs to come together (blah, blah, blah…)."

This is a sad day for America and those who attended the memorial service. For in this nation, founded by Christian people, who used the very commandments of God as a foundation for the U.S. Constitution, not one word was uttered to God our Father in the Name above all names, Jesus Christ.
This event reflects the true images of the day of horror which will go down as the worst mass murder in US History. That is, until, God forbids, another comes along to do an even worst deed. How can our nation stand, if we during our of need, forget the One True God and His Son Jesus Christ? Answer, it can’t.
