I took the collection of little pieces all disconnected, lying there, and within a couple of minutes, they were buttons, I had created a pair.

They were still plain, just circles of fabric placed upon a metal frame, but once I started embellishing them, they would never be the same.

It would take a needle and length of thread, beads would be sewn on in a row, and all of the sudden that plain little button, would take on a quite different glow.

I would work till it was covered, no space left unfilled, the button had now become a gem, and it sparkled and glowed when the light shone upon it, this was now, and no one remember the then.

It reminded me so of how my life changed, when Jesus came into my heart to live, and completely changed what had been before, and He's still not done, He has so much more to give.

He wiped away all the sorrow and darkness, till I was clean, glowing in the light, and then He added so many new things, I was transformed right there in His sight.

He covered me with beads of grace, placed in me His joy and all that was true, and when He had covered me with His beauty, He brought me and gave me to you!

Your love put the sparkle into the beads, just as God knew it would,
and our designs became one out of two, We shine together, as God meant that we should.

Now each day is like a blank button, we can decorate it however we care to do, but every bead and each little stitch, will tell how much I LOVE YOU!

Each design is different, the pattern unseen, but when the day is done, we've created a gem beyond all beauty, our design shining there in the Son.

I thank God each day for all He has done, for rescuing me, for making me brand new, and for all the joy and beauty and laughter, that fill each hour I am with you.
