The Gift


Life’s path is a treacherous one,
with obstacles along the way,
never knowing when your done,
mystic adventures makes the day.

Captivating moments one and all,
traveling down life’s endless path,
sometimes we stumble and fall,
trying to avoid evil’s darken wrath.

Days filled with joys and sorrows,
searching to fulfill our basic needs,
just praying for a better tomorrow,
yet entangled in the growing weeds.

Treasures found in memories of love,
of children and close friends we meet,
the true gift from the heavens above,
never realizing the importance, we weep.

Precious moments from time we share,
never found to exist in power or greed,
for there is no meaning unless you care,
happiness goes to the meek, not the bold.
