Who do you talk to everyday? Do you talk with God? Is He real to you? He is to me. He is precious to me. I smile when I think of Him. He is with me everywhere. Jesus is my strength and comforter. He is with me because I let Him in. Jesus will not force Himself on anyone. He can only be a part of our lives if we invite Him to stay. a great many people from the Gerasene countryside got together and asked Jesus to leave - too much change, too fast, and they were scared. So Jesus got back in the boat and set off. Luke 8:37. Jesus had calmed the storm in the boat with His disciples on the way to this Gerasene countryside. When He arrived He healed a demon-possesed man. The people were too afraid of this miracle. They couldn't see that radical change would benefit them. Their Saviour was standing there amongst them and they sent Him away. Unfortunately, we often do the same thing. It's up to us. We can allow Jesus to come into our lives and let Him change us or, because of fear, turn Him down. We have to make the decision to embrace Him or we can put Him back in His boat and watch Him float away!
