Never Alone

I went for a walk today, I thought I had gone alone
I kicked at a rock that lay on the sidewalk.
I had so much to ponder
That at first I did not notice
the display of flowers
that grew majestically in a garden.
Heads staring straight up to the heaven
as if looking for the Creator of their existence.
I heard the birds of all nations-singing the most
awesome praises to the One that said -
If you do not praise me, the rocks will!
I felt the rain fall on my face as
it brought life into my hot tired flesh.
I took careful notice of the trees
that stretched their mighty arms towards
the sky, wanting to make sure
that their cups were full.
I looked up and saw the sky as blue as the ocean.
A rainbow marks my way.
The Son was shining
so warm and tender as the shower fell.
How incredible!!
It was the seeing of all this
That I realized -
I was not alone.
Thank you my Lord
for the beauty you give me.
