The vendor's hand was
quick with the change,
"Two," he said,
"Have two for the same...
for they're no more to me
than a sparrow or two,
little to gain and
nothing to lose."

But the one who sees all
looked down from above,
"I care," he said,
"Yes, even for a dove...
a sparrow may fall
and lie in the dirt,
I see and
I feel the hurt."

And I was much like
that little dove,
something I thought
thrown in above...
to the bargaining of
salvation's plan
I was a mere
trifling man.

But the Word came
like a bolt from above
"While you were in sin
I showed you my love...
the dying Lamb,
the King on the cross
I looked down through the years
and saw you lost."

You are the joy
for which Jesus died
and your are the
reason he cried...
you are why
he despised the shame
and you are the one
for whom Jesus came.
