If you were Christ…
Would your parents have accepted the ‘destined lowly birth’?
Even when it is clear that the unborn child
Is the expected Messiah.

If you were Christ,
Would you have accepted insult and rejection
From your people without cursing them?
After all you have the power to speak and it come to pass.

If you were Christ,
Would you have chosen the lowly people as your associates?
What of the Presidents, the Prime Ministers, the Ambassadors and Movers and Shakers
in the society? After all none of them match your rank.

If you were Christ,
Would you have been that generous in doing miracles?
Would you have considered the type of people to heal & deliver?
After all you were not paid for it.

If you were Christ,
Would you be that obedient?
To accept a shameful death
For the sake of those who do not even acknowledge your sacrifice for them?

If you were Christ,
Would you have considered to disappear
When they came to arrest you, so as to exhibit astonishing power
Which they have failed to acknowledge all these while.

If you were Christ,
Would you have encouraged Peter to go on to massacre all of them?
Since they are accusing you unjustly,
And they are being ungrateful for all you did for them.

If you were Christ,
When you were hung on the cross,
Would you have shown a little of your power by creating
Extraordinary scene to reveal them that you are God
Who has power to do all things?

If you were Christ,
The lessons of humility, obedience and love
Surpass all that you can think you could have done
Christ is our mentor, thank God for such role model.
