Flavius checked his helmet and his uniform and made sure he had his sword with him. He looked over at his friend and second in command Maeiminus Rausticius to make sure his uniform was in order and that his club was in hand. Flavius looked back and saw what looked behind him pretty much assembled a mob. Based on his boss's orders, Flavius handpicked a large detachment of his best soldiers and because Caiaphas had said this Rabbi from Galilee was dangerous, all of his soldiers and some temple guards were armed with either a sword or a club.
The tall, dark lanky man named Judas, who was at the secret meeting, walked up to Flavius and Maeiminus and stood next to them. With Judas leading the way, Flavius motioned with his hand and the entire group started walking. Most of the group carried torches because it was night time. From the Antonia Fortress, the group walked quietly past the Temple Mount toward the Garden Gate and beyond that the Kidron Valley.
