Poetry
He turned his head and looked at the thief
His heart was broken and filled with grief,
"Today JESUS said you shall sit at the right hand,of our father in heaven in the promised land
The soldiers they sneered "Who was this man?"
Not just another prisoner with nails in his feet and hands
JESUS looked down at them , tears he did shed,
"Father forgive them", they know not what they said
Here was a man, with an innocent heart, who gave all he had, so that sinners like me would have a new start.
Now
I look in the mirror, who's face do I see,
Who's sad eyes are these looking back at me.
My father created them, he knew them from the start.
He knew one day I would realize my sinful ways, and fall down on my knees in front of him with a crushed and broken heart
How can I measure up to him, and really start to change. My questions I give to him in prayer, He alone can give me the strength for my life to be rearranged
Do you ask yourself ,would you have taken that step? The one JESUS did when he gave us all of himself.
The unselfish act of an innocent life given for mine. Ask yourself that,,,,it will be your sign
Time to change......
