Trust God. Don't allow yourself to say, "I know I need to trust him, but" Don't allow your situation to become larger than your God. Take the handcuffs off our Lord and Savior, when we say we trust him, and place "but" in the same sentence we are truly allowing the enemy a path to continue what he has started. When you find yourself talking to friends and they tell you to "pray, seek God," and you find yourself saying "I know, I will, but..." There are no "buts" in your walk with Jesus. Remember he is a very present help in the time of trouble.
Remember His strength is made perfect in weakness, do you really know what that means, that means when you have exhausted yourself in trying to fix it, when you have truly taken your hands off of the situation, and you are at your wit's end, when you have no where to turn, that means you are truly at your weakest point, and that's when you can call on Jesus and it's amazing, but at that particular time, when you call on Him, your mind doesn't even have the ability to say "but", you simply surrender all, and in that momemnt His strength is made perfect in weakness. Hallelujah!
You’re reading this for a reason; you didn’t happen on this article by chance. God knows what you’re going through, He hears your prayers, but you have got to trust him. There are no “buts” following that statement. Simply trust him.
Some people have no idea what that means, trust him how, trust him with what? Trust his word. When you trust the word of God, you are trusting God, his son, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. When you trust the word of God, you are trusting the promises of God.
As a Christian if you truly believe the word of God, then you believe that the word was made flesh and dwelt among us. That word that was made flesh came in the form of Jesus Christ, so we believe in Jesus Christ, and we speak the word of God. What is the word of God, the word of God are the scriptures that you read, the word of God are the promises our Heavenly Father makes in his word.
One of those promise is, “Trust in the Lord and lean not to your own understanding, in all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your path.” This is one of the most difficult scriptures to stand on, because we feel that we wouldn’t hurt ourselves or lead ourselves astray, so it’s comfortable and familiar for us to lean to our own understanding. But as the bible says, “our thoughts are not his thoughts and our ways are not his ways.”
That’s why we can not lean to our own understanding, for one thing, God is so much bigger than our circumstance or even the dreams we can dream. God is so much bigger than our menial request that we take to God in prayer, and it’s almost as if I can hear God saying, “Is that all they need?” Because he is so much larger than that problem that you can’t see past. God is bigger than a mortgage payment, car note, family member gone astray, lost job, sickness, disease, pain, despair, depression, grief, calamity, and being overwhelmed. Jesus has overcome the world. My beloved brothers and sisters, what you see in front of you, the problem that you see in front of you is small in comparison to what’s coming around the corner. God knows what’s coming around the corner, that’s why he needs you to trust him in the situation as it stands, right now.
If you can’t trust him enough to know the money will come, the illness will loose it’s hold, the fear will subside and your family will come back together, what happens when all of those calamities are one hundred times worse, trust him in the small things, even if in your mind they are not small to you, because the Lord knows what’s coming around the corner, and he needs your faith in tact in order to be able to stand.
Please do not hear yourself say, “yeah I know I need to trust in God, but.” “I know he’s a very present help in the time of trouble, but.” “I’m sure he’s going to come through for me, but”. The bible says, “You shall have whatsoever you say.” Think about that, just let that marinate in your mind, now think, what have you been saying. Trust him. I dare you to trust him. Let the Lord show you just how big he is, in every circumstance there is a scripture that can cast out that circumstance, find the scripture, say it out loud, trust the word of God and the promises of God and lean not to your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path.
All things work for the good for those who are the called according to his purpose. May my Heavenly Father the Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit be blessed and honored through words given by the divine inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

Hi Lisa, wonderfully written. Yes indeed, we can trust Him -in fact sometimes He's the only One we need to trust or can trust in a circumstance. He never ever fails us and always does the right thing for His Children. Blessed be Your Name Divine Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Glory be to God in the highest heavens. God bless
