The Battle Rages On

Endure and persevere,
Just endure and persevere
For lo, all earthly things will end
And Christ will soon be here.

Come bend your knees in battle,
Come raise your sword & fight.
Come face your foe in light of day
For soon it will be night.

No time for earthly matters
Our armor we must don.
Stand in the gap, rebuild the breach
The battle rages on.

Stand firm though none stand with you
Do not submit to fear
Though others leave you must believe
That victory draws near.

You will not be forsaken
For Christ will see you through
Your Lord will summon countless hosts
To fight this war with you.

Don’t quit though you grow weary
And in the end you’ll see
Your mortal soul will reach its goal
Of immortality.
