"Do not be bitter or angry or mad. Never shout angrily or say things to hurt others."--Ephesians 4:31
Have you ever yelled at the guy who cut you off in traffic? Have you ever talked bad about the person who is a better office politician than worker? Of course, we are all human!
We are humans, with all our faults. We are all sinners and cannot be sinless except through the gift that Jesus gave us, with His blood.
Despite all our faults, it is our charge to not be angry with others. We must restrain from shouting angry words and insults. When we hurt others, with our words, we hurt our Lord.
Dear Lord,
Please help us to not be angry. Please help us to forgive those who we feel have harmed us. Please help us to follow your example; to turn the other cheek, to forgive those who do not know what they do. In your name. Amen.
Closing Thought:
As a father, it is important that I keep my temper in check. Anger begets anger and that is not the example that I want to be for my children. The example that I want to show is the one that Jesus gave us, as He forgave the Roman soldiers while He hung on the cross for us.
