Encouragement
Every time I post an article, I begin to eagerly anticipate getting a review or critique. I want to know if anyone out there is hearing me, hearing the message I am getting from God to deliver.
I'm fairly certain I am not the only one. Why else would we put our articles out every day, or every few days, if we did not desire feedback? What better place do we know of to discover better ways to get our messages across? I can't think of many.
So, this is a note of encouragement to all my fellow writers here, a reminder that even if you get absolutely no response, it doesn't mean you didn't do a good job. This site is so full of great stuff that sometimes I just spend a lot of time reading all the articles here. If I stopped to review every article, I think my family might think I've actually gone and done it--run away from home.
I recently took up knitting again, and as I was knitting the other afternoon, the words of an article I read here just kept running through my mind. The words were 'He must increase, we must decrease'. Every stitch I made, I repeated these words, thinking about what they mean, thinking of ways to make this happen more in my own life. I didn't review this article, but I remembered it anyway. Many thanks to the person who wrote it. So many articles here are like that--a clear message that needs to be heeded. The words, the phrases, the sentences, and sometimes the entire piece just sticks in your brain, and you can't stop thinking of it.
I say to all my fellow faithwriters--keep on going, even if you think you aren't being heard. I can assure you, you are. We have such a great blessing here, and every one of us makes it happen.
If you are feeling discouraged because you aren't getting the feedback you want, remember, you are writing for God. His approval is all you need, and I firmly believe that as each article points in His direction, He is pleased. Any effort made on behalf of our Father, and His Kingdom, is wonderful.
I love this place, and all you people. You inspire me, make me think, make me laugh, make me cry. I will probably never meet most of you, yet I feel that you are friends nonetheless. I suppose most of us will meet in Heaven.
Praise God, we have a little piece of Heaven right here on this site.
I am hearing all your voices. I believe everyone who visits Faithwriters.com is hearing all of us,and most importantly, they are learning of God! Just keep on doing what you love to do, what you've been called to do, and leave the rest to God.
He will always hear you. So will the rest of us.
