Prophecy
Exodus 3:13-14,
13-Then Moses said to God, Behold, I am going to the sons of Israel, and I will say to them, the God of your fathers has sent me to you. Now they may say to me, What is His name? What shall I say to them?
14-God said to Moses, I AM WHO I AM. And He said, Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, I AM has sent me to you.”
*According to one Theologian, this utterance is the source of the word ‘Yahweh,’ the proper personal name of the God of Israel. It is commonly explained in reference to God as the absolute and necessary Being. It is also understood of God as being the Source of all created beings. Out of reverence for this name, the term Adonai, “My Lord,” was used as a substitute.
(In light of the substitute word and instead of the person saying, “I Am has sent me,” the person would then say, “My Lord, has sent me”).
THE NAME:
“I AM” is a name that God gave Himself when He commissioned Moses to go into Egypt to deliver the children of Israel out of bondage (Ex.3:14). In Himself, God possesses everything and is ALL in ALL the self-existent God. Everything that exists has been created for the glory of God. Whether people realize it or not, ALL living creatures, human and animal, are dependant upon God (Gen.1:1--Col.1:17--Heb.1:3,10).
From the New Testament, Jesus Christ declared Himself to be the great “I AM” which was a claim to deity. The religious Jews were outraged when Christ identified Himself with the “I AM WHO I AM.” In the book of John, the Jews claimed to know God, the Father. Jesus told them plainly that they did not know His Father (God), but He did, and He kept His word.
John 8:56-58, “Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day: And he saw it and was glad.
57-Then said the Jews unto Him, You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?”
58-Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily (I tell you the truth), I say unto you, Before Abraham was (before he was born), I AM.”
CHILDREN OF “I AM”
As born as Christian’s and because our Father claims to be the Great I AM, we can say legally in faith, “I am too.” As children, we are to follow in His footsteps, doing as He does and saying what He says just as Jesus showed us when He walked this earth. Because we proclaim, “I am too” we’re not saying that we are a god, that we’re deity. God forbid! But rather, we are declaring legally and scripturally that “I am” on a provisionary level.
Example, “I AM what God says I am in His word.”
This is declaring that I’m created in the image of God, made in His likeness and after He made the human race, He stood back and said, “It is very good (Gen.1:31).”
Ephesians 5:1-2,
“Be ye therefore, followers (imitators) of God, as dear children;
2-And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savor.”
CAUTION: Love doesn’t puff itself up in pride when we proclaim that “I am too (1 Corinthians chap.13).” Never forget that HE is the Creator. He’s the Potter, and WE are the clay, whereby, we submit for Him to mold and shape is into His image and likeness.
God said to the Israelites people in Exodus after they came out of Egypt, “I AM the Lord Who heals you.” Because of Jesus going to the cross and His blood ratifying the covenant of God, whereby, there are “better promises;” we now are heirs of this new blood covenant. Through the seed of Abraham, and having been redeemed from the “curse of the law” (Galatians 3:13-14), praise God, the blessing of Abraham has come on the Gentiles. We are now an heir of God and joint-heirs with Jesus (Romans 8:17). This means, that whatever the Father has given Him, we have also.
Example: “I AM the Lord Who heals you (Exodus 15:26).” Because of the blood covenant,we can say,
Response: “Thank You, God, that You heal me from all sickness and disease.”
To make it even plainer, as imitators of God, our heavenly Father, we can truthfully say what our “Daddy” says. Agreement with His Word and then proclaiming by faith is what pleases God (Heb.11:6).
In families all over the earth, children are great imitators, especially of their fathers. It can be for either righteous ways or unrighteousness ways that they imitate their parents. As children of the Most High God, we are to imitate our heavenly Father in nature and character. 1 John 4:8 says, “God is love.” God’s nature is “love.” His character is “righteousness and holiness.” We are to say what our Father God says, and do what He does. In light of this, it’s not so strange and its not blasphemy for His children to say as He does, “I am...”
THE ‘I AM’S’ OF THE BELIEVER:
The Lord says, “Abide in Me, for I Am all that I say, I Am (John 15:7).”
We need to respond in faith and agreement with what God says. Then, we need to prophetically declare it by the “confession of our mouth (Romans 10:10).”Amen.

Jesus is the beloved of God, therefore, we can say:
“I am accepted of God in the beloved Jesus” (Eph.1:6).
As children of Almighty God, when we make these prophetic proclamations of “I am” we are stating our agreement and faith in absolute truth that is based on Calvary and the Word of the living God. Hallelujah! It slaps the devil around all over the place, bringing hell to attention and saying boldly without hesitation, “Devil, you are a liar!!”(John 8:44). We give praise and glory to the Lord Jesus Christ, for He is Truth!
Begin making your prophetic declarations today that are based on the eternal Word of God and watch break-through come in ways you would never have imagined. Watch as God begins to change you and things for the better in all areas of your life. Get ready to shout the victory!
Changing your mind, changes your way, and ultimately changes your future destiny.
