Marriage

Looking at the written music, it reminded me of a ribbon woven round,
capturing in it's lines the notes, of the music in our day that is found.

The notes are woven together, between the strands of our day, like a bead pattern woven on a loom, the threads keeping the beads from going astray.

The notes may all fall to the bottom, creating a background for all we do, or be scattered all over the ribbon, singing a melody that is brand new.

Each morning the ribbon is clear of notes, the staves in the ribbon are clear and we create the music each moment, with all the things that we hold dear.

God's love creates a steady beat, the notes recurring over and over again, trust and comfort create a harmony, added over top of them.

The melody is created by joy, and happiness adds to the sounds, and all day long I can dance to that music, reveling in the wonder I have found.

When the day has ended a new song has been written, and the rhythm slows down for the night, a comforting murmur lulls me to sleep, God's melody holds me tight.

I thank God so for the gift of music, for the love we share, creating our own song, and you and I can bask in the beauty, everywhere we go, our song follows along.

The lyrics to this wondrous music are simple, but oh, so true, there is but one verse that the song has, and it sings out how much I love you!
