Hiding in the shadows
Crying in despair,
Down on my knees
Pleading in prayer,
A heart disillusioned
Can't see the light,
I'm begging you Lord
Encourage me to fight,
All my painful emotions
I possess inside.

Hiding in a corner
My overwhelmed spirit,
Gazes to heaven
Trying to reflect,
Asking you Lord
Don't hide your face,
My soul's in prison
And it can't escape,
Release these chains
With your loving grace.

Hiding in my room
Fighting to see,
Knowing you're there
I want to believe,
Hear this prayer
Set my heart free,
Above the torment
Above the sea,
Straight in your arms
Where I can always be.
