Yes, I remember you as I take the broken bread. I remember you as I touch my lips to the cup.

I remember your body, broken for me. Beaten, bruised, and disfigured, you hung upon that cross at Calvary.

I remember your blood poured out for me. Your agony in the garden caused you to sweat droplets of blood.

The crown of thorns they pushed upon your head to hurt and humiliate, the merciless beatings, nails through your hands and feet, and a spear thrust through your side, all served to release your blood

You confined yourself to human form, so that you could come, to save me. It was you who instructed the twelve, so that one day, so many years later I would hear the good news of you, and believe.

Your Word tells me that I was on your mind before the formation of the world. You prayed specifically for me at Gesthemane. You chose me…suffered for me…died for me. Because you remembered me, I will take this bread and this cup; Your body and Your blood.

I remember you, Jesus and I acknowledge that I am yours, purchased at the greatest price…All because you remembered me.
