I think of days gone by,
Ponder wondering why;
Reason it goes so fast,
And that it does not last.

Time is relatively short,
From birth to final port;
Even when we are gone,
Time still continues on.

Merely as a grain of sand,
But a life well planned;
Whence leaving the womb,
Until we enter the tomb.

More to life than death,
Preparing for a last breath;
Tis preparation for the next,
Where not to be so perplexed.

Though life is short and sweet,
As God patiently waits to meet;
Till it is finally the proper time,
For our soul making that climb,
