Poetry
God of Life, who cannot be needy
Or helpless or tired or worn
Clothed fully in light and in beauty
Without garments or jewels to adorn
Whose power and strength can’t be measured
Or equaled in earth sky or sea
God who moves and breathes unrestricted
By time space or boundary
Who owns all the wealth of the nations
Granting gifts we can never repay
Whose mercies are new every morning
Unfathomable in every way
What scholar has been Your advisor?
What comfort have You ever sought?
When did you need a reminder
Of something You simply forgot?
How deep is Your wisdom and knowledge!
So deep it can never be known
Yet it’s here in this heart frail and broken
You desire to reign on Your throne
I simply cannot understand it
The knowledge for me is too high
God has come to this place
With His love and His grace
As my soul cries out, “Who am I?”
Self-sufficient One You incite me
To view with loathing my needs
With one breath of grace
And a glimpse of Your face
In wonder I fall on my knees.

Wow I love it. You remind me of a modern Psalmist. :)
